Bar none...that is the greatest guitar solo of all time! Allen Collins was such an awesome guitarist and since he is the one who created the song the versions of him playing it are always the best versions of Freebird.

This is a great album, and this is the coolest recording of this song ever. What a professional Nesmith was. Every performance as polished as anyone else out there touring.

I loved all of em, Skynyrd was my band, I think because I could relate to them just long haired party boys, Allen was my favorite I think because how animated and jumping around, I was just 17 at the time but I was a pretty animated jumping up and down air guitar player myself lol

Allen Collins was electric. He takes a backseat to no one in Skynyrd

I still have the vinyl but no turntable. It took Nesmith a long time to release this on CD because I heard he didn't like the recording. But I think the entire album is sublime.

I've always hated the edits on this version. I suppose it was tape damage, but I especially miss the cuts during the last 90 seconds.
